Treadmills Windmills depicts a California roadrunner sprinting with windmills in the background. To create this piece, I made a stencil of windmills which I painted with a watercolor wash. I drew a roadrunner in pastels overlaying the watercolor of windmills. The finishing touch is a poem about the repetitive thoughts that travel through my mind in graphite that spins out of the windmill blades: Treadmills, windmills, time and space. Walking, running, stand in place.
